"Light"

During the first quarter of 2006 the Carolina Lettering Arts Society, in conjunction with the Southern Highlands Craft Guild, mounted an exhibit of calligraphic art by approximately 70 artists from around the country and the world, with the inclusion of about 6-8 works by CLAS members. The show, "WORD+CRAFT", was held at the Folk Arts Center, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville, NC, which is the home of the SHCG. Don's contribution was a 30"x22" piece entitled "Light" (see below). The original is available for viewing or sale at his studio, and half- and quarter-size prints are still available.
