Calligraphic hands employed include italic, Neuland and pen-written Roman capitals. The theme of the piece is the very real differences in the two definitions of the word "communication" in our lexicon.
Text: First part (top) - "By the simple act of communicating we can release the aspirations, FINEST THOUGHTS & DEEPEST FEELINGS within and between ourselves and others - Elements of our humanity that go far beyond the grammatical structure of the statement being conveyed... Interpersonal communication, spoken or written, surely one of the most important facets of our existence, gives us the opportunity to convey BOTH THE TANGIBLE THOUGHTS AND THE INTANGIBLE, subliminal emotions and feelings that the extant subject elicits, in us: ... the fingerprint of the KNOWN AND THE UNKNOWN OF OURSELVES. It is the WARP and WEFT of our society's fabric." Carved into the division between top and bottom - "http://www.money/exist/what are we becoming and why? wwwwwwwwww..." Second part (bottom) - "COMMUNICATION IS THE EFFICIENT TRANSMITTAL OF INFORMATION BETWEEN ENTITIES COMNCTN = EFFCNTXMTLxINFOBTWNNTTYS" etc, etc.
